This 3in1 printer was working fine for last 3-4 years. But suddenly it started giving message "Can't communicate with scanner" When I try to scan. It is printing and copying but not scaning. I tried reinstalling & restarting several times but no avail. Plz help.

Thank you for your reply. I would like to inform you that my scanner is working fine now. I tried reset printer option by pressing and holding > and × buttons and it worked.

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

 

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

When was the last time it worked without these issues? 

 

In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned below:

 

Follow this link, and run the HP's print and scan doctor. You may also follow this link and try HP's scan and capture software as well. 🙂

 

Please reply with the details for further assistance.
