Can't use ADF to scan at 600 or 1200 dpi on my HP Laserjet Pro MFP M277?

Is there any way to use my ADF to scan at 600 or 1200 dpi on my HP Laserjet Pro MFP M277? It only allows ADF for 300 dpi scans.     - Thank you.

No, due to feed accuracy limits to the adf hardware, it does not support scanning at resolutions higher than 300DPI.

Thank you. Are there any home office scanners (or all-in-one machines) that will scan through ADF at higher resolutions? I frequently need to scan multiple documents at high resolutions and using the flatbed scanner for each page at 1200 dpi takes a lot of time. I'd rather feed 20 pages in an ADF and walk away to do other work.  Thank you.

A high quality sheet feed scanner will likely be more expensive than your printer was to purchase.  Designing products is of course always a balance of functionality vs what people are willing to pay for it. A consumer level product like the M277 is going to focus on being able to do everything to quality level expectations of the masses. Those looking for professional level quality will look at more expensive dedicated products or enterprise level products. To use the car world as an analogy, there are those who will buy a Chevrolet Spark and be quite happy and others will purchase a Cadillac.
