Cannot fax, yesterday first time this issue started. Fax test indicates that phone cord is connected to 2-EXT, cord is connected correctly to 1-LINE. "Fax Hardware Text" and "Fax Connected to Active Telephone Wall Jack" both indicate PASS.

@WMTar, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Have you tried reconnecting the fax cable?
Make sure you are using a 2-wire fax cable.
The ports at the back of the printer are labelled. Make sure the fax cable is connected to Line-1 port.
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
