Hi HP Community!

 

Trying to scan to email. This has worked in the past but now I am getting the message "Username or password are incorrect. Make sure both user account and password are valid." This has never happened before. I have not changed passwords on e-mail accounts.

 

I can print wirelessly to printer. 

 

Using Macbook Pro OS 10.15.7 (Catalina) (if that matters). 

 

Thanks for your help with this (I am trying to send tax info to accountant and time is short 🙂

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you are receiving a scan to email " username and password incorrect" message.

 

Follow the steps below to remove the PIN-

 

Swipe your finger from the top to the bottom of the screen and tap the wifi or Ethernet icon to locate the IP address.

  • From your PC browse to that IP address, the EWS page is shown.
  • Open the Scan tab.
  • Click on Scan to Email Setup within the Scan to Email section.
  • Set 'To' as Blank and set 'From' as Default From.
  • Click Edit for the active profile and ensure the  Security PIN is blank.

If the issue persists, set up a scan to email again.

Note -The product in the document might be different, but the steps remain the same
