Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

Cannot get the HP software scanner function to feed paper from the printer feeder tray into the machine at all.

It pretends to scan a page from the feeder, but does not draw a page into the machine & produces only a blank image.

If I put a page directly on the glass top it will scan a single page properly.

It makes no difference the number of pages I put in the feeder tray to be scanned.

(The copy function works properly with any number of pages placed on the same feeder tray. I use an Apple Air laptop with an M3 chip & macOS Tahoe 26.5.1.)

Hi @rajjmej,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're stoked to have you on board!

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please share the model name of your device?

Need help finding your product number? We've got you covered! Check out this handy guide:

Meanwhile, try the below steps:

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the ADF cover and check for any paper jams or obstructions. Remove any stuck paper carefully.

Clean the ADF Feed Rollers:

  • Dust and debris can accumulate on the rollers, preventing them from gripping the paper properly. Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to clean the rollers.

Inspect Paper Quality:

  • Ensure you are using the correct type and weight of paper. Avoid using wrinkled, torn, or excessively thick paper, as these can cause feeding issues.

Adjust Paper Guides:

  • Make sure the paper guides in the ADF are adjusted to fit the size of the paper you’re using. If the guides are too wide or too narrow, it can cause feeding problems.

Check Paper Stack Height:

  • Ensure you’re not overloading the ADF. Load only the recommended number of sheets (usually around 10-20, depending on the model) and ensure the stack height is within the ADF’s limits.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Best regards,

Kuroi_Kenshi

I'm an HP Employee.
