Officejet 9010
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am able to print to my Officejet 9010 and operate scanning from my laptop but I am not able to use the "scan to computer" function from the printer itself. I follow the instructions but am unable to turn on the scanning function in HP Smart app. I get this message:

You cannot use this function because it has been disabled. For more information, contact the person who set up the printer.

I have removed the printer device, drivers, and HP Smart app and reinstalled all and still have this problem. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,

Please follow HP Easy Start below, by selecting the option to install the HP Basic or Full Feature Software:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/HPEasyStart_11_5_4644_17.exe

Once completing the installation, click Scan > Computer and select your computer name (be sure to select the PC Name only option which is by the HP Software, with no added word to it, and not the WSD option by Windows which is listed as Scan to Computer name as an example).

Can you see any difference now?

Shlomi
