Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP OfficeJet 8015e All-in-One Printer

I am unable to use the document feeder to scan documents, and so am left scanning individual pages on the scanner glass, which is of course extremely time-consuming.

I'm using the HP App, and select the source as "Document Feeder", yet it then scans from the glass rather than the feeder. I've checked I'm using the latest software, restarted my computer, the printer/scanner, and the program, yet the scanner still won't use the document feeder. Any help would be appreciated please.

Hi @Andi_C

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I can see how frustrating it is to have the document feeder ignored and be forced to scan one page at a time. Since you’ve already updated software, restarted devices, and confirmed you’re selecting “Document Feeder” in the HP app, the next step is to narrow down whether the issue is hardware, settings, or connectivity.

  • Which exact HP printer model are you using? (Some models that look similar don’t actually support feeder scanning, only feeder copying.)
  • When you place pages in the feeder, do you hear the rollers engage or see the feeder light/sensor respond, or does it stay idle?
  • Have you tried scanning from the feeder using the printer’s built‑in control panel instead of the HP app, and if so, does it behave the same way?

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
