Hi @lafendis,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering issues with the installation or reinstallation of the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-In-One Printer software and you're receiving messages like "module not found" or being prompted for an admin password that you haven't set up, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

Ensure Administrative Privileges:

  • Make sure you are logged in to your computer with administrative privileges. If not, switch to an account that has administrative rights.

Download the Latest Software:

  • Visit the official HP website and download the latest software and drivers for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e printer. Ensure that you are downloading the correct software for your operating system.

Disable Antivirus/Firewall:

  • Temporarily disable any antivirus or firewall software on your computer during the installation process. Sometimes, security software can interfere with the installation.

Run Installation as Administrator:

  • Right-click on the installer file (setup.exe or similar) and select "Run as administrator." This ensures that the installation process has the necessary permissions.

Clean Previous Installations:

  • If there were any previous installations that failed, try to clean up those installations before attempting a new one. You can use the "Programs and Features" (Windows) or "Applications" (Mac) section in your system settings to uninstall any existing HP printer software.

Check System Requirements:

  • Make sure your computer meets the system requirements for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e software. Ensure that you are installing the correct version for your operating system.

Verify Internet Connection:

  • Ensure that your computer has a stable and active internet connection during the installation process. Some components of the software may need to be downloaded during the installation.

Remember to keep your printer connected to your computer during the installation process. If you encounter any specific error messages, take note of them as they can be helpful in diagnosing the issue. Additionally, consult the user manual or documentation that came with your printer for any specific instructions related to installation or troubleshooting.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
