I cannot scan from my printer. However, I can scan from the HP app on my computer. When I print the test results it says Proxy failed. My computer is set up to Automatically Detect settings under Proxy. My printer worked once before for scanning but stopped. It is connected to my wireless network fine. I called my internet provider and windows support person who both said to contact HP. Does anyone know what is going on?

Hi @Marian21,
I'd like to help!
To assist better -
- Is the printer connected to home or public network?
- I would like to know, is your router set to work on 2.4 GHz network or 5 GHz network band?
- What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?
- Are you able to make copies using the printer?
Keep me posted.

Jay,
Printer is connected to a home network
5GHz network band
Wireless network light solid
Yes, I can make copies
Again, I can use the HP software on my laptop to scan but I cannot use the Scan, Email on my printer. What I don't understand is that I was able to do this before and now I am getting a proxy error.
