Cannot scan to email from HP MFP M281cdw since migrating to office365 email

We recently migrated from IMAP to Office365 email platform and can no longer scan to email from the HP MFP device.  I am receiving the error message that the user name and password are incorrect.  I verified the password and even changed the password and am still getting this error message.  I updated firmware and printer drivers and still cannot scan to email.  These are newer printers, and this problem only began when I changed to office365 smtp outgoing server settings. I’ve tried using different ports and that hasnt worked either.

Try creating an using an App-Specific Password and check if you may able to complete the test then:

If that doesn't help, the printer may be blocked by an unsupported security protocol, try disabling more advanced security settings such as Two-Step Verifications, 2-factor authentication, etc.

I suggest reviewing Google for support documents on this matter for Office 365.
