Hi:

 

I have a new HP Z Book 15 G3, Win 7, 64 and I'm trying to install my HP Scanjet G 4050 scanner. I find the driver (115 MBy) at the HP Support site and try to install it. I get the following error message during the driver installation:

 

"This computer does not have the necessary USB software to allow completion of a USB installation...."

HI;

Thanks for the reply. The problem I have is:

1. I go to the HP Support site and find the Win 7, 64, driver for the G-4050 scanner.

2. Download driver to my new HP laptop successfully (110 MBy)

3. Try to execute the exe driver file

4. Unable to install driver. Error message is:

 

"This system does not have one or more of the minimun requirements needed to install this product.  

This computer does not have the necessary USB software support to allow completion of a new USB installation."

 

The new HP Z Book is not accepting the HP reccomended G-4050 scanner driver.

 

What could be wrong?
