Windows Scan permitted me to easily change the SCAN destination. Why can't I find the similar feature in HP Smart?

Answer

HP Smart is written to support a large number of device (printer) types -- essential configuration and some editing tools are included in the application.  Setting or Changing the default destination folder is not part of the standard application.

HP Smart can (must) be made to select or Edit the Destination each time the current job is configured and submitted.

Example - HP Smart - Windows - Scan - Preset = Document

HP_Smart_Win_Scan_Document_Save_12HP_Smart_Win_Scan_Document_Save_12

--------------------------------------------------------

HP Smart Shortcuts can be created to save content to supported Cloud Storage accounts.

Within the Shortcut for the Cloud account, the destination sub-folder can be pre-selected as can the content type.

Example - HP Smart - Shortcuts - Cloud Storage - Save

HP_Smart_Shortcuts_Cloud_Save_PDF_9HP_Smart_Shortcuts_Cloud_Save_PDF_9

--------------------------------------------------------

HP Scan / HP Universal Scan (model dependent) understands the concept of Custom Shortcuts and a Default Destination folder.

Example - HP Scan (original format) - Save as PDF - Main Menu / More > Destination

9025_HP_Scan_Menu_PDF_More_Destination_139025_HP_Scan_Menu_PDF_More_Destination_13
