Hi,
Auto cropping might be done at a software level for some operating systems, meaning only from the HP Software.
Direct USB scanning from the printer is more limited and allow a specific scan size selection only, auto cropping is not supported for a such and can only be done from a computer by using some HP Software versions, that cannot be done while scanning to a USB stick conencted to the printer.
Regardless, auto cropping can only be done from the flatbed glass, not from the top document feeder..

I'm using the keypad on the printer/scanner. I want to scan photos using the auto feed. I want the imnage to only include the photos one at a time to a file for each on the UsB drive. It works fine except the image is of the whole glass with the photo in the corner. I expect the capability to detect and "autio crop" the image as it arrives on the glass from the feeder to produce a photo-only image. I found that some printer/scanners have suach a setting called "auto crop".
Thanks for your attention.

You know for a printer that sells for around $400.00, they really have neglected to do something about the scan setup. no cropping?? that is really bad. I can put several pictures on My old 110 and it will not only crop but separate the pics allowing me to save a lot of my old photos quickly. The only thing i have found on this printer is an output of 8 1/2 by 11 ???
