Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

The scanner outputs total (edited) I scan a drawing and all the lighter lines are lost completely and the lines that do get scanned are only the darkest parts and they come in choppy.

I have gone through all the menu options for adjusting Scan Mode, Kind, Resolution, Image Correction, etc.

NOTHING WORKS.

I have never had my drawings come out so poorly. I can get much better scans off of literally any old scanner but this brand new scanner delivers the absolute worst scans I've ever seen.

I look online for drivers... NONE for Macs.

So it seems the scanner on this device is just terrible. If there is some way to get it to scan correctly please help. Thanks.

You have an USB under the printers control panel, scan to USB directly, no computer needed to test how will it scan. That will eliminate hardware from software/driver issue.

Scan to a USB device from printer
Use the printer control panel to scan a file directly to a USB device.

1. Insert the USB device into the USB port of the printer.
2. Load your original print-side down on the scanner glass or print-side up in the document feeder.
See Load an original on the scanner glass or Load an original in the document feeder.
3. On the control panel Home screen, touch Scan.
4. Touch Scan to USB, and then select the location on the USB device where you want to save the scanned file.
5. Touch the File Name field and type in the file name.
6. Touch to set other file options such as Original Sides, File Type, Resolution, and Color Mode from each
drop-down list.
7. Touch Options to change settings.
8. Touch Preview if you want to preview scanned photo or document, and then touch Send to scan the
document and save it to the USB device.
