Product: Color Laserjet Pro MFP 4301 Series

Does anyone know the maximum scan resolution of the Color Laserjet Pro MFP 4301 Series when using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)? As has been the case for many years and lines of products, HP has chosen not to disclose this in the specifications (they just say "up to" 1200 dpi), and based on previous experience, they commonly limit the maximum ADF scan resolution in firmware or software to something much lower - typically 300 dpi, which is unacceptable for my use case.

 

I tried a chat with HP support, but the rep was unable to find the information. They promised to look into it and have someone from HP contact me by email, but that was nine days ago.

The adf feed systems are not accurate enough to support higher resolutions. I will see if I can find more details but I feeling is 300 or less is what will be supported from the adf.

Thanks for the response. I understand that may be the case and it may also be HP's rationale if they have artificially limited the maximum ADF scan resolution to a lower value than that of the flatbed scan resolution for the MFP 4301 series. That said, I would still very much appreciate getting a definitive answer as to what the maximum ADF scan resolution is for this printer series. I do know that some HP scanner products have significantly higher published maximum ADF scan resolutions, as do competing multi-function printers from other manufacturers.
