I recently updated the Firmware on two of my MFP's. Both are at the same location. They both appear to have updated correctly.

On one of them, the Copy button is greyed out. They put a document in the ADF or the on the glass.

It recognizes that there is a document there, but the button is not active. Same condition if the try scan to email...the Send button is not active.

Hoping someone can help with this issue.

Quick question: Are you able to scan to email or folder? Do other scan functions work? Is it possible that someone accidently set a security setting on copying through the Embedded Web Server? Usually the only time this is greyed out is is there is a conflict in settings or the scanner has an error but normally you would have a yellow triangle on top right of screen. It is a pain but you might want to perform a parital clean on the unit through the Pre-boot service menu.

thanks for the info.

We performed a partial clean earlier in the day before I saw your message. That fixed the copy button issue but wiped out all my other settings

I performed a backup from the other MPF at the same location and applied it to the affected unit.  That restored all my other settings.
