Here are some steps you can follow to resolve the issue with copying and scanning on your HP DeskJet 2700.

 

Check Printer Connections:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to the power source and your computer.
  • Check for any loose cables or connections.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Restart your computer or device.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. You can do this through the HP Smart app or the HP support website.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall the HP Smart app from your device.
  • Reinstall the app from the official app store or HP’s website.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP support website.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix any issues.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Open the HP Smart app and go to the printer settings.
  • Make sure the copy and scan features are enabled.
  • Check if there are any error messages or alerts in the app.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a factory reset on your printer. Refer to the printer’s user manual for instructions on how to do this.

Test with Another Device:

  • Try connecting the printer to another device (e.g., another computer or smartphone) and see if the issue persists.

 

If the problem continues after following these steps, it may indicate a hardware issue with your printer.
