Before HP upgraded their app. I was able to put a document on top of my scanner and hit copy and I would get a copy. There is no option anymore to make a copy from an original looks like I can scan it and print it that way, but that just seems silly because why would I have a scanner on my printer if it's not being able to be utilized. What am I missing?

Check Printer Control Panel: Ensure that you are using the printer's own control panel rather than an app or computer software for direct copying. Most HP printers have a "Copy" button or similar option on the printer itself.
 

Printer Driver Updates: Make sure that both your printer drivers and firmware are updated to the latest versions. Official HP® Support. Sometimes updates can restore missing features or enhance functionality.
 

HP App: If you are using the HP app, HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site, check for any updates or changes in settings that might have affected the copying function. The app can sometimes substitute the physical copier control.
