Corrupted Scan

I scan a lot of documents containing logos, pictures, fonts and other image things without fail.  But I ran into a couple of documents where the resulting scan was corrupted.

I've attached a PNG file (from windows snipping tool) to illustrate the issue. 

Essentially I took the following the steps:

1-scanned document as a picture: no problem

2-scanned document as a PDF file: issue

3-printed the picture scanned in step 1 then scanned it as a PDF file: issue

However, before saving the PDF files I also used the snipping tool to take a snapshot of the image on my screen.  It never showed a problem with the image until I opened it with the resulting PDF file.

Is someone from the tech department going to respond?  It's been almost 2 months.

I'm getting a "LOT" of corrupted scans.  It's to the point now that I can't trust this scanner and if I can't trust it I will be returning it.
