Couldn't Connect to Scanner pop-up MFP M283fdw

Seems like a common thing for HP - no ones scanners are working! I've restarted, reset, and done everything. 

Is there a new driver needed? Why did this VERY regularly used functionality of my printer/scanner stop all of a sudden? 

Please get my 1 yo scanner back to working.

Same exact issue.    Just suddenly stopped.  I was always suspicious of a printer that makes me sign in to use....

Good luck. I'm having the same issue in our office. No one can scan using HP Smart from our HP printers, but we can scan on other apps. And yet HP has given me the same things to try over and over again and when those don't work, they told me to call for one-on-one assistance. I did that, and was told that my particular printer's warranty is expired and they cannot help me. I asked him if he had any notice that HP Smart was giving MULTIPLE people using various HP Printers issues with scanning and was told they do not show an issue with HP Smart. Apparently everyone having the same issue is just some coincidence.

I'm having the same issue as well, my scanner stopped working with the HP app, but if I use another scanner app, it will work, I called HP and they told me that my printer is out of warranty and they asked me for $90.00 to send a technician to repair my printer! but it's the HP app, not the printer!
