Product: HP DeskJet 2320 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I can print files, however I cannot scan. Tried fixing it with a tutorial (it said earlier that scanning is unavailable), but now it says "couldn't connect o scanner", even though the app states that the printer is ready.

I'm on Windows 10 but the same issue, fine yesterday.

I suspect its someting to do with the latest MS windows update

I have tried EVERYTHING HP support has to offer (of course without an actual HUMAN who can help... you are faced with trying all their virtual help - which is NO HELP at all).

New software, new HPEasyStart_14_4_7(2)  and sp140482

 

Install everything and try and connect... (and you have to sign in twice - it's like HP doesn't even have a memory that I was signed in before in the SAME SESSION).

 

Result? "Couldn't Connect To Scanner"  - the printer works fine and it is usb connected, but it is useless as we cannot scan.

End suggestion from a private help company specializing in HP printers? "Throw it away and buy a new printer/scanner made this year. HP software is mostly incompatible with MS updates."
