Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I went over on my papers for printing and it said to change or update my credit card info which I did and I'm still receiving an email to do so. Also, when I tried to scan something it stated I need to download some which the printer has been installed for a while so I'm not sure what to do about that

This scanning issue seems to be a driver issue.

Follow these steps to fix the issue.

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Download and install the printer using the HP Smart app

thank you.

I did all that and it now says the scanner software isnt installed and needs to be configured.

side note-on the steps you gave, the part about looking for HP printer driver to remove, it asks if you want to remove the driver only and something else i DONT REMEMBER SO I CHOSE DRIVER ONLY.

its been a while,  did the credit card issue get resolved?

Did you talk to HP instant ink support to fix the credit card issue?

Meanwhile:-

Yes, you will have to remove and reinstall the printer driver from the root level to fix the issue.

Follow the steps mentioned in the above post to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver.

Keep me posted.

Cheers.

So the credit card issue is resolved?

I followed the steps you previously sent and the most current reply I sent to you is the error message on the printer itself - displayed on it
