I purchased a David 3D scanner from you guys a couple of years ago. Yesterday 22MAY2022, installed the software and went to the website and ran the upgrade program but my computer would not start the 5.6 version. It allowed me to open and run the 5.0.6 version. I was about 100 scans into a project and the software crashed. Now neither version will open.

 

The version 5.0.6 will show the software but then eventually crashes.

 

Version 5.6.0.2037 Rev.I will not start. Below is the Command prompt screen that flashes up for about 15 seconds and then disappears.

 

Loading c:\Program Files\DAVID 3D SCANNER 5\Settings\UserSettings.xml ...

 

Unhandled Exception: System.Exception: Error: Could not find Settings / Setting/*[@title='EnableVentoux']

 

     at DAVID.Settings.GetSetting,bool.(String XPath)

     at DAVID.MainClass.Run(String[] args)

     at mainCRTStartupStrArray(String[] arguments)

Hi, don't know the solution but according to my experience these David 3D scanner showing these issue when you are in hurry. As we also have 3D Scanner and yesterday I was scanning the best tomatoes juicer pamphlets urgently which was about 30. And the software get crashed and I didn't scanned a single pamphlet. Due to which I lost the client. Now I am thinking to change this davide 3D scanner.
