Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

I cannot save a scanned document. I tried to save with a new file name, but got the message "couldn't find saved file name".  Created and saved a "Temp.pdf" file in the directory. Even though I said to replace the file, nothing happened. What now?

Hi @Don739,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are experiencing issues saving scanned documents with your HP DeskJet 2800e. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Check File Permissions and Directory Path:

  • Ensure that you have permission to save files in the directory you have chosen. Sometimes, directories may have restricted access unless you have administrator rights on the computer.

  • Verify that the directory path is correct and accessible. Try saving the file in a different folder to check if the issue persists.

Rename the File:

  • Attempt to save the scanned document with a different name and ensure there are no special characters in the filename that might cause issues.

Check for Available Space:

  • Ensure there is sufficient space on your drive for saving the scanned document. Insufficient space may prevent the saving of files.

Update Drivers and Software:

  • Ensure that you have installed the latest drivers and software for your HP DeskJet 2800e. Visit the Official HP® Support to download and install any available updates.

Use HP App:

Reinstall Software:

  • If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the HP software suite to reset any corrupted settings or configurations.

Check for Operating System Updates:

  • Ensure your operating system is up to date, as issues with compatibility can sometimes be resolved with updates.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
