To scan a document using the HP DeskJet 4100 All-in-One Printer series, follow these steps.

 

Prepare the Document:

  • Ensure your printer is turned on and connected to your computer.
  • Open the printer's scanner lid, place your document on the scanner glass print-side down, and align it according to the edges.

Open HP Application:

  • If not already installed, download and install the HP app from 123.hp.com or your device's app store.
  • Open the HP app on your computer or mobile device.

Select Scan Option:

  • In the HP app, click on the "Scan" tile.
  • Select the type of scan you want, such as a document or photo, and choose your desired settings (color, resolution, etc.).

Start Scanning:

  • Click on the "Scan" button to initiate the scan.
  • After the scan is complete, preview the scanned document on your device.

Save or Share the Scanned Document:

  • Save the scanned document by choosing a location on your device.
  • You can also choose to share the scanned document via email or through other applications directly from the HP app.

Finish and Clean Up:

  • Once you've completed your scanning tasks, remove the document from the scanner glass and close the scanner lid.


By following these steps, you should be able to successfully scan documents to your computer using the HP DeskJet 4100 series printer.
