Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

There are minor differences - probably in color or the place (retailers)  where it is sold.

The features are the same.

Check out the specs:

If you need a visual of the printer and some use cases, the following resources will be useful:

Hi Greenturtle (?)

Thank you very much for your reply & info, & apologies for my late reply.

I think that you have answered my questions.

However, I asked my local HP Reseller the same question, & in addition to the colour scheme difference of the 2 printers, the Reseller also said that, quote, "the 2720 is less rapid by 0.5 page per minute than the 2710", end quote..

I assume that the Reseller is referring to the "Printing  Speed"; however, I found no differences at all in the printing speed specs for 2710 & 2720, in the product specs that you reference in your links, which are:

- Print speed Black (ISO) - up to 7.5 ppm for BOTH.
- Print speed Colour (ISO) - up to 5.5 ppm for BOTH.
Admittedly these are only  "print speed ranges", & not "specific print speed" comparisons for specific "standard" B&W & Colour documents.
Would appreciate if you could verify whether or not the Reseller's print speed  information, is correct.
Regards
AlanCB42.

Hi,

Think the reseller is referring to this document:

https://www8.hp.com/h20195/V2/GetPDF.aspx/c06680459

HP 2710 is 0.5 pages slower (which personally, I think is not significant)

Hope that helps!

Hi Greenturtle

Thanks for your reply.

There appears to be some contradictory HP specs info re:  the print speeds of the 2710 & 2720.

My Reseller said that the 2720 is slower than the 2710 by 0.5 ppm (7 ppm vs 7.5 ppm);. your previous HP  reference links indicate that there is no difference (both 7.5 ppm) & now your new HP reference indicates that the 2710 is 7 ppm (not 7.5 ppm),

I totally agree that 0.5 ppm is not significant either way.

I was just trying understand the Reseller's Selling Price difference between the 2710 & 2720..

I think that only significant difference is in the colour scheme of the 2 printers (2710 is "all-white: & the 2720 is "White with grey borders", which if anything should make the 2720 more expensive),

I  will resolve this with the Reseller.

Thanks again for your help
