Deskjet 2755e
Microsoft Windows 11

Cannot figure out how to get scanning to work on our Deskjet 2755e.  Printing from our PC works fine but we do not see where to "click" or whatever to get scanning to work.

When we bring up the software there is no indication of an icon or similar to start a scan.

Might anyone know what the screen looks like for the app?  All  we see is a directory-like screen.

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like you're having trouble locating the scanning feature for your HP DeskJet 2755e.

Here's how you can get scanning to work:

Install the HP Smart App:

  • Download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store, Apple App Store, or Google Play Store.
  • Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer.

Locate the Scan Option:

  • Once the printer is set up in the HP Smart app, you should see a Scan tile or icon on the main screen of the app.
  • Click on the Scan tile to access the scanning interface.

Place the Document:

  • Open the scanner lid on your DeskJet 2755e and place the document face down on the scanner glass. Align it with the guides on the glass.
  • Close the lid gently.

Adjust Scan Settings (Optional):

  • In the HP Smart app, you can adjust settings like resolution, color, and file format before starting the scan.

Start the Scan:

  • Click the Scan button in the app to begin scanning.
  • Once the scan is complete, you’ll see a preview. You can save, share, or edit the scanned document.
