We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I have a Deskjet 3630 All-in-one printer/scanner.  The printing is working fine with no concerns and I am able to copy direct from the buttons on the top of the printer, however I am unable to scan.  When you attempt to click 'scan a document or photo' nothing happens and the scan dialog does not open.  I have run the Print and Scan doctor, it sounds like it is scanning, and this currently says 'Windows Scan Issues fixed' however this has not enabled me to scan and a test scan does not perform.  Previously it has said there was a driver issue and therefore I have uninstalled and reinstalled all of the main HP software and drivers (twice) with the updated software and drivers from the website - and this did not make a difference.  I have operated the printer both wirelessly and with USB connection and this did not make a difference.

If anyone has any bright ideas please can you reply as I have run out of options!

Let's go through a few steps to uninstall and reinstall the drivers:

 

Step 1: Uninstall the Drivers:

 

Please follow the steps provided to uninstall the printer software in the link: Uninstalling the Printer Software (Windows)

 

Also, please follow the steps provided below to completely remove the printer software from printer properties.

Steps to remove printer driver files from Print Server Properties:

  1. Open the Print Server Properties dialog window by doing one of the following:
    • Click the Start menu and in the search field type 'printui /s /t2' (without the quotes), and then press Enter or click it in the search list.
    • Press WINDOWS-R on the keyboard to bring up the Run window, type in 'printui /s /t2' (without the quotes), and then press Enter or click OK.
    • From the Start menu or the Start screen:
    • Open Devices and Printers.
    • Select any printer and then click "Print server properties" at the top of the window.
    • Click on the Drivers tab.
  2. Select the printer driver you wish to uninstall.
  3. Click the Remove button.
  4. Select "Remove driver and driver package" and click OK.

Step 2: Download and install the Drivers from the wizard:

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.
