Deskjet 3632
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, i bought a Deskjet 3632. I have a scan fault E5. I work wireless with a desktop win 10 and an upgraded win 7 laptop to win 10. Printing is ok on both. Disabled firewall, reinstall, restart, download drivers, scan doctor says driver fault. What can i do ? I changed my officejet 4500 G510A for this one because i like the possibility's from the 3632. Thanks for your help. Sorry for my english but i'm dutch from belgium.

Hello, @Frankyboy123 – Greetings!

Thanks for joining HP support forums. I’d like to be of your assistance 🙂

I see that you are facing issues while scanning from your Deskjet 3632 printer. Kudos to you for using the Print scan doctor to diagnose the issue. I’d like to work with you from here to resolve this issue 🙂

First, to isolate the issue further, I would like to make a “Photocopy” on the printer. Place a document face down on the scanner glass and press the copy option on the printer control panel. Let me know if it makes a good copy or not.

If the printer is making a good copy, then the printer hardware is fine and the issue should be fixed by following the below-mentioned steps:

  • First, unplug the USB cable from the printer if present.
  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Officejet & the Deskjet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to Run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
  • Once done you can try cleaning out your temporary files and cached files. You can try using automated applications like some cleaner software's that you can download from the internet.
  • Now restart your computer again.
  • Click on http://hp.care/2bNj6W7 to download and install the software.
  • In the connection type window, select wireless and follow the on-screen instruction to complete the installation.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Cheers & Wish you a very happy new year 🙂

Hello sir,

Also a happy newyear for 2017 from Belgium.

I tried several solutions yesterday and this morning without any progress. Nice said ?

I restarted, reinstalled, wireless, on usb, downloaded latest drivers, on my desktop, on the laptop, HP help center, doctor scan, and yes i had a bad night sleeping with that 3632 thing in my head... This morning after trying again, i went back to the shop, and they gave me a new 3632.

So i came home and i installed the new one like that, printer and scanner working all right.

New problem, on the HP laptop we didn't found the printer, no network found.

I downloaded latest software and drivers, and now i am a happy man again.

Thank you very mutch for your answer and help.

Greetings and be cool !

Frankyboy
