I purchased a new Dell XPS this past October running Windows 10 and since then the scan function on my F4500 is not available. I have attempted to reinstall the drivers but still no go. Does anyone have any ideas? The printer worked fine on my previous Dell Inspiron. That machine was running Windows 7 when I first attached the printer, but I did upgrade to Windows 10 when it became available and had no printer/scanner issues. Any ideas?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
Follow the steps below to resolve scanning problems using the HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Windows: Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.
- Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
- Once HP Print and Scan Doctor is open, click Start, and then choose your printer.
  - If your printer is not listed, turn it on and click Retry.
- If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in the tool.

- Click Fix Scanning.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
