To better understand the issue, could you please provide the following details?

 

  1. What is the model of your HP laptop? You can find this by pressing Win + R, typing msinfo32, and pressing Enter.
  2. Are you using a personal laptop or a work/organization-managed device? Some company policies may restrict file transfers.
  3. What is the file system format of your external hard drive (NTFS, exFAT, FAT32)? You can check this by right-clicking on the drive in File Explorer > Properties.
