Digital Fax Setup Wizard option is missing on Win10 (64bit) - HP Laserjet M426fdw

Hi, we have just bought HP Laserjet M426fdw and we would like to use Digital Fax Setup Wizard in order to save faxes to a network path or a computer.

1. The first problem is that while on a Windows 7 machine this option is being installed, on more than one Windows 10 machine during install this option is completely missing and after install no digital fax is not present. See attached screenshots (sorry for greek language).

• First of all is HP Fax Software supported in Windows 10 (64bit)? 
• If yes, can you provide specific troubleshooting tips in order for HP Fax Software to be available in Windows 10 machine? 
• Is there available any HP Fax Software separate installation file? 
• Is there any prerequisite for Windows 10 (64bit) in order to make this feature available?

2. A second issue was that on the Windows 7 machine we run through Digital Fax Setup Wizard succesfully but even though faxes were received normaly they were not saved on the given computer local path (i.e. c:\test).

• Can you provide specific troubleshooting tips for this problem?

Hi,

An HP Digital Fax Setup Wizard is not intended to be available on Windows 10, that is expected.

You may find the release notes on the computer where installed the software, it should be locally available under

C:\HP_LaserJet_Pro_MFP_M426f-M427f\Documents\ReadMe

Regarding the Windows 7 PC, while completing the HP Digital Fax Setup Wizard on a Windows 7 PC, do you click Save and Test while completing the wizard? and do you get a successful result or any other result?

I just could not think - believe that this kind of features could be missing from Windows 10 installation. So I' ll just use Windows 7. I created a brand new Virtual Machine with Win7 and it did the trick. I have no idea why it did not work in the existing pcs but it's just fine with me as far as it functions now.
