Do I need a phone line connected to my 8610 to send a fax?

Hi, I keep receiving no answer when I try to send a fax. I do not have a phone line. My printer is connected via wifi. Can I still send a fax with this printer (8610)?

Welcome to the HP Community --

This printer relies on a 2-wire phone line / land line connected to the back of the printer.

No, you cannot use Wireless or other "not phone" line connections to use the Fax in the printer.
