Document feeder doesn't work for scanning. It does work for copying.  I can scan from the printer window.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

 

Try this software:

 

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

OK it worked and solved another problem I was having.  I wasn't scanning to pdf but with this it was easy to select pdf.
