Hello, I have a weird issues that I hope that someone has an idea of how to resolve.
We have an Officejet Pro 9018e connected to a workstation via USB. Installed the drivers from the Full Feature Pac from HP's Driver website. Everything appears to work except for one issue, printing from the printer, to PC, using the document feeder.
A little summary:
- Printing appears to work just fine
- Scanning on the workstation using the HP basic scan software, we can scan from both Flatbed and Document scanner
- Scanning from the Printer using the To PC option, the Flatbed works, and document goes to the correct folder
- However, Scanning from the printer using the document feeder, The documents feed through, you can hear the scan hardware moving and sounds like it's working, however, the document doesn't get sent or saved anywhere on the workstation.
We have updated the printer firmware, removed and re-installed the drivers and software several times, with the same results. I can say that the Windows 10, will auto install the drivers now if the USB is removed and plugged back in.
I'm looking for ideas!
Thanks!

Update: We were able to figure out the problem. For some reason, when we took a look at the Scanner Properties in control panel, under Events, there were two instances of HP Scan that were showing. The first and default one, did not work with the document feeder, but did work with all other scanning functions. The second instance worked with all the functions. I had thought about seeing if we could find and remove the first instance, but if it isn't broke...
