Product: HP OJP 7740

The document feeder won't function. The paper starts to go through, then it makes a loud, repetitive clicking noise, and then it stops and I get an error message. This printer is a replacement for the same model with the exact same problem. I don't know what to do, but I need my document feeder to work. Of course I've already performed the recommended suggestions, but this printer is brand new out of the box and should work properly. Suggestions? I have sat on hold for hours trying to contact HP support. 😞
