Product: HP Officejet 6500 A
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

HP Officejet 6500 A is not compatible with Windows 8.1. I followed your advice and removed the old software and downloaded the suggested software for 8.1.  I use a USB cable for the connection from PC to printer. I cannot get the scanning to work.  It only shows Memory Device or computer.  I tried scanning using computer and the page I was scanning appeared on the screen. When I saved the scan what I found was a copy of my recent bank statement and not the page I had scanned.  Any suggestions as to what I can do to fix my problem?
