Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue with my printer. A few weeks ago, I was able to perform double-sided scans using the document feeder, but unfortunately, it's no longer working today.

I’ve tried enabling the duplex scanning option in the printer's online settings and switched the scan options from single-sided to double-sided, but without success.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can reactivate duplex scanning via the document feeder? Is there perhaps an option in the printer menu itself where I can enable this?

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

  1. shut down printer via on/off switch
  2. switch off the router
  3. shut down the computer
  4. wait about 60 sec.
  5. switch on the router, wait until the router has completely initialized itself again
  6. Switch on the printer, wait until the printer has finished its initialization
  7. switch on computer, log in (with admin rights) and wait about 10 sec.

Start “HP Scan” and change these settings

Hey Andr,

 

Thank you very much for your help, and sorry for the late response. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. I have to admit, I’m a bit at a loss. I even set the Web Interface to scan in duplex mode.

 

Could it be that the scanner unit is broken? I don’t know why that would be, though, since it was still working perfectly a few months ago.

Hi Kevin,

 

first a clarification - this printer does not have a duplexer for scanning with the ADF!

An essential condition for double-sided manual scanning is the resolution, max. 300 dpi or less.

 

I think the scanner is not defective. Unless you can no longer scan individual pages. Either via the ADF or via the scanner glass.

 

Are errors displayed?
Is the “HP Scan” app being used or another app?
