ENVY 5546 All in One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We have a new ENVY 5546 All in One printer. We run both a PC and Mac at home, all software and drives have been installed we can print but we cannot scan at all. Help!!!!!!

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:

1. Uninstall the software in your computer
2. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online)


The following resource will help you :

http://123.hp.com/us/en/

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.


3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

If you are not sure how to do this, the following resource will walk you through the steps:

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

Try this software:

 

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

I can't get the software that you recommened to load on either our PC or Mac

HP Scan Extended is for WIndows only.

 

For Mac, please use

I cannot scan,with my envy 5546, i can scan through the hp doctor, when you go to the hp printer screen from the control panel screen the scanning and print level boxes are blacked out. I have tried working my way thru the correction method s to no avail. I have tried loading the extended prog . still no good .
