Product: Deskjet 4100

My encoder strip is completely off and I had seen a diagram for a different model on how to put it back on but the inside of mine doesn't look like that so if anyone could help me replace the encoder strip on the deskjet 4100 that would be appreciated the carriage is moving freely so that's not an issue I just do not see a hole to thread the strip through as well as I don't see a hole on the side of the printer to put it back on hp said I'd have to replace the whole thing but I've literally had the printer for right about a year and it literally just came out from under warranty I think
