Enlarging a copy on 6430

I bought the 6430e so that I could enlarge a copy by a percentage amount and can’t figure out to achieve this.

Welcome to the HP Community --

If you purchased the printer so you could use COPY at the printer and select Resize options,

this is the wrong printer for the task.

The printer lacks a touchscreen printer control panel --

COPY (at the printer) is a simple and limited function - Resize is not an option.

If you plan on keeping the printer...

Optionally use HP Smart or use another scan app / software

Scan the content at its original size and save it to your computer.

Print the saved content at the size you want it.

Print PDF in Adobe Reader DC 

 Print PDF - Size or Poster

Open the PDF document in Adobe Reader DC 

Click the Print icon

Open Properties

Set Shortcut to Everyday Printing (Plain paper, single sided)

Select your Paper Size

Click OK to save change(s) and Exit the Properties menu

Next,

Main print menu

Page Sizing & Handling

If printing at 100% or smaller, and the content fits on the paper, Page Sizing & Handling = Size

Then select Actual, Fit / Shrink to fit, percentage (wording varies)

OR

If printing “larger than 100%”, or the content size requires it, Page Sizing & Handling = Poster

Poster Printing - Notes

• If the page size is equal to or smaller than the paper size and you want the output larger, increase the Tile Size
• If the file is already larger than the paper size, it will be divided into Tiled sheets needed to print the file
• Enter an "overlap" and whether you want the "cut marks" included

When ready, click to Print

And yet the spec for the printer states that it supports this function. This is the 2nd printer I’ve purchased to try and do this. Very misleading information.

Sure, Copy is available via HP Smart app.

Is the information misleading?

Maybe --  My interpretation is not important to you.

Copy reduce / enlarge settings	Via HP Smart app
Copy resolution	Up to 300 x 300 dpi

Copy at the printer is a printer function.

and

HP Smart Mobile includes "Copy" -- the app uses your mobile device camera

HP Smart - Mobile - Menu

Copy opens a window "Move camera to place image within frame"

One of the options on that menu is "Object Size"

What?  The app has no direct access to the computer's camera.

I do not have an explanation for information found at the store, not HP and certainly not any other merchant.

I cannot provide other than what I found using the resources we have.

I shall remove myself, having no way to answer the apparent contradiction in the information.

Were it mine to do, I'd contact the store and ask about options.
