Hi @Jeanius1946,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing an issue with enlarging a document before initiating a print on your printer.

Please follow the below steps to fix the issue.

Kindly refer to this link for reference to change the print settings.

Using Print Settings on Your Computer:

Open Your Document or Image:

  • Open the file you want to print in the appropriate application (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, or your image viewer).

Access the Print Menu:

  • Click on File in the top menu, then select Print. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl + P (Windows) or Cmd + P (Mac).

Select Your Printer:

  • Ensure your HP Envy 5400e is selected as the printer.

Adjust Print Settings:

  • Look for a button or link labeled Properties, Preferences, or Advanced to access the printer settings.
  • Find the section for Page Scaling or Page Size/Handling. The terminology might differ depending on your operating system and application.

Set the Scaling Option:

  • Choose Scale or Scaling from the available options. You might see a dropdown menu where you can select a specific percentage (e.g., 150% to enlarge the object by 50%).
  • If you’re printing an image, you might also see options like Fit to Page or Custom Scaling. Choose the option that allows you to enter a percentage to increase the size.

Preview and Print:

  • Check the preview to make sure the object is enlarged to your liking.
  • Click Print to start the printing process.

Using Printer's Control Panel (if applicable):

Access Printer Settings:

  • If your printer has a control panel with a screen, you may be able to adjust settings directly on the printer.
  • Navigate to the Setup or Settings menu on the printer’s display.

Select Print Settings:

  • Look for options related to print size or scaling. The exact menu names can vary.

Adjust Size/Scaling:

  • Set the scaling or size adjustment according to your needs.

Confirm and Print:

  • Confirm your settings and proceed with printing.

Document Size:

  • If you’re enlarging a document, ensure your paper size is appropriate for the enlarged print. You may need to use a larger paper size to accommodate the enlarged image or text.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day
