HP ENVY 6032e All-in-One Printer
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Hi,

I bought HP-envy6032e printer in Nov'21 in Ireland.

When I tried to scan a document by selecting 1200dp, the scan is taking too long (almost 3minutes) per page where as with 300dp its taking just 30seconds. Is this scan speed normal for higher dp ? I tried multiple times, still no improvement.

Printer settings:

1. Connected directly to wall socket and to wifi

2. Printing from Mac Book (Big Sur OS) via HP Smart app

I appreciate someone could help me to troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting a slow-scanning issue, I am glad to assist you.

Did you make a copy and check if the issue persists?

Which application are you using to scan?

Try to scan from a different application and check if the issues persist?

Meanwhile:-

Update the printer firmware to install the latest updates

Here are the steps:- Click here

Keep me posted.

Thanks for the reply @Sandytechy20

Yes, I did copy and print and they are working fine.

The problem is only during scanning with 1200dpi - which is taking 5minutes to complete single page A4 page.

1. With mac book

Initially i tried scanning with HP Smart desktop app from my macbook - no luck

I tried scanning from macbook "printers & scanners ==> scan" functionality - still the same issue.

I followed the steps you mentioned to update the firmware, firmware for my printer is already uptodate.

2. With Microsoft Windows-10 operating system

I also tried the same steps from my another laptop having Microsoft-10 Operating system - still the same issue.

3. With wifi-5G and 2.5GHz

I tried connecting the printer to 5G and 2.5GHz wifi signal - it has same issues with both signals.

I can't think of any other trouble shooting methods.

Did you any changes to the printer before this issue could start?

Its a brand new printer, I barely used it. I never changed anything. The problem exist right from the beginning.
