We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP Envy 7640 printer will scan and print ok, but will not copy. When I try to copy, I get an error message that says it senses the "wrong paper size". After I keep putting in the correct size 8x11 paper, it does the same thing, even though there is no other sized paper loaded in it.

@froids, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

I see that you're unable to make copies on the printer due to paper size mismatch error. Presumably, you can change the Copy settings on the printer front panel.

 

If that is not working, not happening, not applicable, and the printer is on the network, use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to adjust the Copy default settings.

 

Open your favorite browser >

Enter the Printer IP in the address bar / URL

Settings > Copy Settings > Default Settings

Also, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
