Hello,

 

My scanner was working fine. Now I get the cant connect to scanner message. This isnt wireless. I am connected to the printer. I have followed all of the steps in support:

 

Disconnected the power on the printer - unplugged and plugged into the wall outlet.

checked connections

Deleted HP Smart & reinstalled

Restarted the computer

Ran the auto diagnostics which says everything is working properly

Im running windows 11 on a dell.

 

The printer works fine btw...... just the scanner is not connecting. Also the same exact set up worked fine one day and the next it wont connect. I dont get it.  Can someone offer a suggestion or a workaround? I don't have the money to buy a new printer now. Thanks
