Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP Envy Photo 7975 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I actually asked a question regarding scanning when my printer/scanner was new back in March 2026.  My old HP printer/scanner detected pictures and content on a page and my new printer wasn't doing that.

I finally uninstalled the software I initially downloaded for the printer and installed the HP Envy Photo Easy Start Printer Software - Offline Use Only.  Now I am unable to scan at all.  My settings page states that "Scanners Not Appearing".

Did I do something wrong?

Thanks

Hi @Miriam54

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand the frustration, especially since the scanner was already an issue with the original software and now the scanner is no longer appearing after installing HP Envy Photo Easy Start – Offline Use Only. This usually indicates that Windows or the HP scanning software is not detecting the scanner component correctly. Let’s first confirm the printer connection and reinstall the appropriate HP software/driver.

Restart the printer and computer.

  • Turn the printer off.
  • Wait about 60 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • Restart Windows.

Check that the printer is detected in Windows.

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select HP ENVY Photo 7975.
  • Check whether Scanner settings or scanning options are available.

Note:

  • Make sure the printer and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network if using wireless.
  • If using USB, reconnect the USB cable directly to the computer rather than through a hub.

Remove and reinstall the HP printer software.

  • Remove the ENVY 7975 from Printers & scanners.
  • Uninstall the currently installed HP printer software.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Reinstall the HP software for the ENVY Photo 7975 and add the printer again.

After reinstalling, open the HP App and check whether the Scan option is available.

Take care and have an amazing day!
