Product: Scanjet Pro 2000 s1
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When using HP Scan application with HP ScanJet Pro 2000 s1 and scanning to email the following message pops up: "The HP Scan application cannot find an email application installed on the computer.  Please ensure your email application is installed and properly configured."

 

Outlook 2021 (as part of Office 2021 Home & Business) is installed and set as the default.  If I right click a document in windows and do 'Send To' -> 'Mail Recipient' and Outlook message pops up.

 

Tried reinstalling both Office apps and the scan application. Also tried disabling the antivirus.

 

It was working fine with the previous version of Office I had installed (Office/Outlook 2013).

 

I've seen similar questions posted before and no conclusive answer was found. Has there been any update?

 

I suspect the problem is with the HP software, as other applications have no problem launching Outlook in a similar manner.
