Hi,

HP Colour Laserjet MFP on a wireless router network

I successfully completed set up of scan to network folder on my Windows 10 PC, sharing the specific folder to a separate user account created for the printer.

The folder I want to use is

C:\Users\rendt\OneDrive\Documents\Scanned receipts

Once I shared the folder, i am provided with this path

Scanned receipts (file://LAPTOP-F6Q00AVO/Users/rendt/OneDrive/Documents/Scanned%20receipts)

To convert that to a valid UNC path the setup utility would accept I used

\\LAPTOP-F6Q00AVO\Users\rendt\OneDrive\Documents\Scanned%20receipts.

That allows me to complete setup, but results in this error:

The path \\LAPTOP-F6Q00AVO\Users\rendt\OneDrive\Documents\Scanned%20receipts is invalid.

What's wrong here?

Hi,

From yoru PC browse to C:\Users\rendt\OneDrive\Documents\.

Right click on Scanned receipts and select properties, then open the sharing tab, ensure the folder is shared and copy the network path from there.

The scan path will usually be something light \\LAPTOP-F6Q00AVO\Scanned%20receipts, withouth the full directory path.

If you experience any issues be sure that the folder is shared within the sharing tab, as well click on Advanced Sharing > Permissions and be sure to add your user name from there with full Read & Right permissions.

Press Ok twich and copy the shown network path.

If you still getting additional issues renaming the folder not to include any spaces would be a step to try, a such may negatively affect the network path access,,

Yes, renaming the folder to avoid the space symbol in the path solved this problem, thanks.
