Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

Every time I print A4 pages using COPY or SCAN or PAGES document, on HP OfficeJet using MacBook Air or iPhone,

I get a double vertical line about 22 mm from the left hand side.

I have factory reset the printer. All tests or alignments come out without any defects or problems,

the print quality is fine otherwise.

Can anybody please help with this annoying problem ?

Thank you.

Thank you Kuroi,

For the response.

It is a HP OfficeJet 8015 All-in-One printer/scanner/copier.

The problem occurs in all operational modes, and still after a new set of cartridges was installed and after resetting the machine and running all the tests. No problems were found then.

The printer behaved fine in the past, the line started making appearance recently, I thought installing new cartridges would cure it, but no result. I enclose a scan/print out of a blank A4 page in Jpeg, the double line is about 22 mm from the right hand side of the page.

I hope this is off assistance.

Best regards,

Josef

Hi @Jo_44,

Thank you for the response.

Try these steps:

1. Check the Printheads and Cartridges

  • Printhead Alignment: Ensure the printheads are properly aligned. You can run printhead alignment from the printer's control panel or HP Smart App.
  • Cleaning Printheads: Sometimes dried ink can cause print defects. Cleaning the printheads might resolve the problem.
    • On your printer's display, go to Menu > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printheads.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the cleaning process.

2. Check for Obstructions

  • Sometimes dust or debris can obstruct the print path. Open the printer and carefully inspect and clean the interior, particularly around the printhead carriage and paper feed area.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions in the paper feed that might cause the double line.

3. Paper and Media Settings

  • Paper Type: Ensure you have selected the correct paper type settings for A4-format.
  • Tray Alignment: Make sure the paper is properly loaded in the tray with the guides snugly fitted against the paper edges.

4. Update Firmware and Software

  • Firmware Update: Ensure that the printer’s firmware is up to date. You can download updates by visiting the HP website or using the HP Smart App.
  • Driver Update: Check that your MacBook Air and iPhone HP drivers are updated. You can download the latest drivers for your printer model from the HP support page.

5. Print Quality Diagnostic Reports

  • Run a Print Quality Diagnostic Report to help identify any issues. Follow these steps:
    • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Menu > Reports > Print Quality Report.
    • The report will help you identify the presence of any defects.

I hope this helps.
