I just recently discovered an "Everyday scan" option for scanning on my printer/scanner (HP8610 AIO) display. What does that do and how do I control the settings that are used for that type of scan?

Well you never mentioned that.
Scanning issues…
Please try this scan solution:
HP Scan Extended
For Windows: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"
Check all your settings and expand all tabs and all + signs to see all options that you want.
Make searchable PDFs scans with this free scanning software - https://www.naps2.com/

Every day scan also inceases your file type to save. PDF, JPG, PNG, BMP and TIF.

Thanks very much. I'll download those programs & give them a try. I trust that will take care of my questions / concerns.
BTW - if you check my initial post, you will see that I did say that I found this everyday scan on the display of my printer.
Thanks for the help
